World Brands Collection Hotels & Resorts Ltd. (WBC) announced a sweeping expansion of its luxury hospitality portfolio across Japan, in partnership with globally celebrated brands such as Six Senses and Banyan Tree.
As the hospitality arm of an integrated real estate development group, and a subsidiary of Wealth Management, Inc., renowned for revitalisation and innovation, WBC says it is shaping the future of luxury hotel management in Japan.
Through a curated collection of unique and culturally immersive properties, WBC is committed to creating “experiential value” that resonates deeply with both domestic and international guests.
This marks an important step forward for WBC, say industry analysts, as it continues to shape its vision for luxury hospitality in Japan.

WBC President and CEO Hiroshi Komoto said: “Our ongoing expansion is more than just a business milestone; it’s the realization of a vision to create and share world-class hospitality deeply rooted in Japan’s rich heritage and the enduring Japanese spirit. We are incredibly honoured to partner with exceptional global brands, many of whom are making their first development in Japan, to collaboratively craft destinations that enable every guest to discover and create entirely new inspirations, rejuvenation and connections. I am proud of our team’s dedication and eagerly look forward to welcoming the world to experience Japan in an unprecedented way.”
Experiential Travel in Japan: WBC’s Culturally Immersive Hotel Concepts

WBC collaborates with globally recognised hospitality brands, each curated to resonate with distinct guest profiles and lifestyle preferences. The most recent openings illustrate this strategic diversity–Six Senses Kyoto and Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto both launched in 2024, while Garrya Nijo Castle Kyoto welcomed guests in 2023. These properties exemplify the group’s ability to cater to wellness seekers, cultural explorers and design-conscious travellers. From regenerative wellness sanctuaries to culturally immersive retreats and minimalist escapes, each brand offers a unique yet consistently high-quality experience rooted in authenticity.

Under the leadership of WBC, each project is designed to “reflect the rich tapestry of Japanese culture while aligning with the global standards of its partner brands.”
WBC’s executive team, composed of seasoned professionals in real estate, hospitality and global partnerships, brings decades of experience in hotel management, asset revitalisation and brand development.

“Each of our partner brands speaks to a different kind of traveller. Garrya appeals to minimalism and quiet reflection, Banyan Tree evokes deep cultural and sensory immersion and Six Senses leads the way in regenerative wellness. This diversity is our strength,” added Komoto.
